1809 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-102. Rarity-1. XXXX Edge. AU-58 (PCGS). An important <em>Guide Book</em> or Overton variety in the perfect high collector grade, this appealing 1809 half dollar is toned with iridescent hues of greenish-gold and displays ample luster in the fields. The strike is reasonably sharp, especially for this date and mint. The surfaces show little more than stray hairlines from brief handling.&nbsp;
