详细说明: FROM THE BEAR CREEK COLLECTION This is a very pleasing Mint State 1841 dollar, a challenging early date to find so fine. Brilliantly lustrous surfaces have a touch of semi-PL reflection that flashes boldly from below a layer of rich original patina. Coppery gold and faint azure tone surround the sharply struck devices. Scattered ticks and tiny traces of ancient contact can be seen under the toning, which PCGS took into account when grading this nearly choice example. Housed in an old green tag holder. PCGS 26, NGC 20. This coin has been off the market since December 2009 when it realized $3,881. Today, the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,500. Going back to the 2000 ANA auction, there have only been 9 sales of PCGS-graded MS62 1841 dollars. RARE any finer, there are just 28 coins graded higher at PCGS, mostly in MS63 which suggests multiple submissions of the same coin looking for a higher grade.
