- Ex Link Collection, as noted on the insert. This is one of the FINEST KNOWN examples of the O-102 die marriage, a scarce coin called Rarity-4 in Overton and Rarity-3 among the Bust Half Nut Club. Either way, the Census lists two in MS62 with NONE FINER, and this is the first coin listed in the most recent AMBPR. Lovely dove, rose, and slate patina graces both sides, the variegated toning highlighted by a rich underlying satin-like brilliance. Struck from a late state of obverse 1, which is shared with the 50/UNI variety, the details are somewhat mushy in the centers, the dentils soft, and stars heavily flowing toward the rims. This CHOICE Mint State piece is very attractive and a delight to behold. PCGS 35, NGC 27. Back in August 2012, this coin sold for $4,700; more recently 1813 half dollars in MS62 have sold in the $3,360 to $3,630 range. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000 and as the FINEST for the variety, we expect the bidding will be very strong, as collectors vie for this top grade O-102. Cert. Number 28829948 PCGS # 39460
