- 1801 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-213, B-3. Rarity-3. EF-40 (PCGS). CAC. This wonderfully original example is dressed in a blend of dove gray and pale olive patina, the reverse a bit lighter than the obverse. Nicely centered on the planchet, the strike is bold and has held up well after a relatively short stint in active circulation. Exceptionally smooth for the assigned grade, there is much to recommend this coin to the quality conscious collector. One of the scarcer die marriages of the 1801 silver dollar, BB-213 is more elusive than BB-211 and B-212, especially in the finer circulated and Mint State grades.
