详细说明: 1913-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-64 (NGC). This satiny honey-gold double eagle is alight with fiery cartwheel luster and soft rose iridescence. Its mintage of just 34,000 is among the smallest production figures of the design type, and Mint State pieces with excellent eye appeal can prove to be elusive. The present beauty is only lightly marked but to no great visual detriment, and the surfaces appear somewhat mattelike under low magnification. Absolutely choice for the grade; we note that fewer than 10 examples of the date have been certified finer than the present specimen by NGC. A splendid opportunity to obtain this date is offered here, and we expect the bidding competition for this piece will be all that it should be -- and more -- for an attractive MS-64 1913-S double eagle.
