Circa 1885 Washington National Monument Dedication medal. Musante GW-1016, Baker-S-322, var., Copper, Bronzed. MS-66 (PCGS). 32 mm. Not listed in this composition in the Rulau-Fuld revision, and likely rare. Exquisite deep mahogany bronze with subtle marbling in the highly reflective fields. One hairline mark in the left reverse field but virtually pristine otherwise. A superb piece. Lightly double struck on the reverse.
