FROM THE M & S PETTY COLLECTION Tied for FINEST GRADED, this is an awe-inspiring GEM early Seated Liberty dollar. This coin is a headlight! Blast white untoned, surfaces are blazingly brilliant with a blinding semi-Prooflike reflective luster. Very nicely struck the details are mostly crisp with just a hint of softness in some areas. The device are frosty and the obverse has generous hints of a cameo-like appearance. There are only a few very minor marks that keep this from being an MS65 grade. The eye appeal is stunning! When this coin last sold, the market was in a weak spot. More recently, in May 2019, we sold the ex Eliasberg PCGS MS64 CAC as part of the Issaquah Estate for $22,913.
