- MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1775-Mo FM. Mexico City Mint. Charles III. PCGS AU-55. KM-106.2; Cal-1109; Yonaka-M8-75. Boldly struck, with shimmering argent luster and a splash of amber toning on the obverse, the 1775 issue from Mexico City can be difficult to find in higher AU grades - with only 3 coins graded higher at PCGS including a single MS-61 uncirculated example. In Brad Yonaka's reference on the type, he states the 1775-Mo is "...the least abundant 'normal' type in the series"and the current lot ranks among the finest in terms of eye appeal for the date.
