- This early date New Orleans quarter eagle is scarce in all grades, coming from an original mintage of 33,580. Rich multicolored iridescent toning clings to the fields surrounding the devices. Just a hint of wear on both sides, if raw, this coin would likely be offered as AU, but we are grateful that no one dipped, stripped, or conserved this GEM XF piece, destroying the wonderful eye appeal! PCGS 22, NGC 14, CAC 6. This is the only CAC-approved XF45 to ever sell in auction, bringing $2,640 in September 2020. The current CAC CPG value is listed at $2,780.
