- What a fantastic and high grade example tied for SECOND FINEST in the designation at PCGS for this first year of Proof Franklins. This is really a very important coin as such! Just a single PR68 is graded finer at PCGS in the non-Cameo designation. WOW! The mirrors are totally clean, deeply reflective and beam from all over. The surfaces are free of any distracting marks, toning or haze that is often seen on these early Proof Franklins. The eye appeal is stunning! PCGS 249, NGC 455, CAC 105. PCGS has graded 39 in PR67+ (no doubt including duplicate submissions) and just a single coin finer. There is a huge range of APRs for this grade with CAC approval, from $3,995 to $9,600; this coin sold in the middle of that range for $6,169 in our May 2019 Regency Auction.
