- 1787 Vermont Copper. RR-12, Bressett 11-K, W-2110. Rarity-4. Bust Right--Overstruck on a Nova Constellatio Copper--VF-25. 119.4 grains. Deep golden-tan surfaces give an overall appearance of hard and glossy, qualities that stand up well to magnified scrutiny. Struck on a broad and slightly out-of-round planchet. Obverse perfectly centered, tiny verdigris patch below effigy at rim, die crack from rim through E to hair bow, no marks of any significant nature seen, reverse slightly off-center to lower right, rim to tops of LIB and bottom of date, die cud at rim above Liberty's head, crack downward from cud to her hair.Overstruck on a Nova Constellatio copper, no details of the host coin present on the obverse, details from the Nova's rays flattened but noticeable at and around Liberty's icon, portion of the host's legend at LIB.
