Fully struck with rich, glass-like mirrored fields and fine details. All the details are drenched in frost and the eye appeal is SUPERB for the grade. An untoned choice example of this early proof Seated Dollar with a mintage of 800 pieces. Perhaps half that amount was sold originally and even less survive today, making this issue scarcer than it otherwise might appear. PCGS 42, NGC 24, CAC 2. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $4,550. The last PCGS CAC coin sold at auction in August 2013 for $5,875.
