- THE GEORGE SCHWENK COLLECTION What a great example! Ideal for date or type purposes, this is a truly SUPERB and totally original GEM 1919 Standing Liberty quarter. Virtually PRISTINE and housed in an old green tag holder. Very well struck, with exacting detail even in the most finely defined design elements. Liberty's head, shield, and drapery folds are fully rendered from a precision blow from the dies. A bold and brilliant mint luster glows from the surfaces, belying a deep iridescent gold and pastel patina that accents both sides beautifully. The eye appeal of this exceptional coin is absolutely incredible and the quality is off the charts. PCGS 39, NGC 15, CAC 19. The most recent example to sell in auction was the D. Brent Pogue Collection coin that realized $11,123 in our February 2023 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $20,000. Just half a dozen examples have graded higher at PCGS, with a PCGS MS67+ FH selling in 2019 for $26,400 and a PCGS MS68 FH last selling in November 2010! This is an incredible coin that has a lot to offer the type collector, as well as a specialist in this series. Good luck. Cert. Number 8348819 PCGS # 5729
