- FRANCE. 1/2 Louis d'Or, 1711-H. La Rochelle Mint. Louis XIV (1643-1715). NGC AU-58. Fr-445; KM-388.7; Gad-243. A RAREdate (listed as "R4" in Gadoury) of the very scarce demi-louis d'or au soleiltype, struck 1709-15. Virtually Mint State quality with light tone over surfaces that are well struck and free from planchet issues. Highly desirable as the only example graded by NGC or PCGS. Estimate: $2,500 - $3,000.
