FROM THE R.S.D. COLLECTION. Beyond any doubt or question, this has got to be the FINEST KNOWN CAMEO Proof 1906 dime that exists! The mirrors flash and beam with a bold clarity and reflection that contrasts vividly against the highly frosted reliefs. Both sides have a a blush of beautiful iridescent toning that gently graces the surfaces. While a strong glass might reveal a tiny line or tick, none distract from the outstanding eye appeal. Only 675 were struck. PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 8. Clearly there is duplication here. PCGS has graded 2 in PR67+ CAM at PCGS; neither have ever sold in auction. The most recent PR67 CAM CAC sold in February 2011 for $12,075. NO PR67 CAMs have sold since then! Needless to say the current PCGS Price Guide value of $7,250 has got to be way too low.
