详细说明: From the Premier Barber Collection. Ex. Eliasberg. This remarkable SUPERB GEM ranks among the FINEST known examples. Sold as lot 1585 in the May 1996 Eliasberg sale, described as follows: "MS67. Heather and light golden toning over lustrous, satiny surfaces. Another remarkable Barber quarter, an outstanding gem specimen that is worthy of special note by the interested bidder." To that we will note the exceptionally high quality and wonderful eye appeal. Eliasberg obtained this coin, as he did much of his collection via his purchase of the Clapp Estate in 1942. J.M. Clapp obtained this quarter, as he did with many coins, directly from the branch mint at the time of issue. PCGS 14, NGC 2, CAC 6. There are two coins graded MS66+, and only a single coin finer a MS67. This coin sold for $11,750 in the October 2015 Gardner Collection sale as an NGC MS67, and for $13,200 in the original Eliasberg Collection sale. The Current Collector's Universe value is listed at $11,500. With only one coin finer, and with this coin's AMAZING looks and provenance, we know it will sell for a very strong price today!
