- 1873 Indian Cent. Close 3. Proof-65 RD (PCGS). Eagle Eye Photo Seal. Lovely rose-orange surfaces also offer razor sharp striking detail and flashy mirrored reflectivity in the fields. Close 3 date logotype, as are all Proof 1873 Indian cents. The mintage of this issue was not recorded by Mint personnel, although Rick Snow (2014) estimates it at 1,100 or more coins, the combined total of silver Proof sets produced that year of both the No Arrows and Arrows design types.
