- 1871 Gold Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS). OGH. Smartly impressed with vivid reddish-olive color, this piece would do well in a Choice gold set. Overshadowed by the great rarities in the gold dollar series, the 1871 is scarcer in Mint State than many collectors realize. Only 3,900 circulated strikes were produced and Q.
