With a low mintage, the Proof 1873 Arrows quarter is very scarce in GEM grade and RARE any finer. The present PR65 offers up wonderfully smooth, watery reflective mirrored fields and very sharply struck devices, all brought together by a deeper, original blend of mauve, lilac, gold, peach, apricot, rose, sky blue. No serious marks of any kind are visible to the naked eye, and the quality stands up to intense scrutiny. PCGS 14, NGC 10. Only 540 Proofs were struck. None have sold in nearly five years, and this one sold five years ago for $4,230 in April 2016. PCGS has graded only seven finer. This coin will see spirited competition when it crosses the block.
