详细说明: The 47-O is another date that saw extensive use in circulation and the very few survivors in Mint State are a tiny fraction of a percentage of the original mintage; of the original mintage of 2,584,000 PCGS and NGC combined have graded a total (including resubmissions) 50 combined in all Mint State grades. For a coin graded "only" MS62, the presently offered coin offers a very high end look. Rich, totally original, multihued iridescent toning graces the obverse, the subtleties of the shades brought out by the underlying mint frost. Close inspection does reveal a few ticks in the fields, which account for the assigned grade, but none are visible to the naked eye and at first glance the eye appeal is that of a higher grade. PCGS 5, NGC 10, CAC 2. Per our auction database, and PCGS Coin Facts, only two MS62 examples graded by PCGS have ever sold in auction, a non-CAC coin that sold in April 2017 for $1,998 and one that sold in January 1999--that is VERY infrequent! Going back to 2011, three non-CAC NGC coins have sold for $1,880 and $1,840. As a PCGS/CAC coin, this example should see very strong bidding, and it would not come as a shock if this coin surpassed what the last non-CAC PCGS MS63 coin sold for.
