- 1827/6 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-103. Rarity-4. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. Frosty luster abounds on this delightfully preserved example of the scarce O-103 die marriage, the rarest of the three overdate die marriages of the year. The centers are dominated by light golden hues with hints of rose iridescence while the peripheries call out vivid teal. Boldly struck at the centers and expectedly smooth at the assigned grading level, a CAC sticker of approval further testaments to it's quality and originality. Solidly in the Condition Census for the variety with only a single MS-66 listed higher in the Autumn 2020 Hermann AMBPR reference. Provenance: From the Richard Jewell Collection.
