CONSERVATIVELY graded when compared to the majority of available pieces in the marketplace. Extremely well struck motifs are surrounded by pleasing, light silver-gray fields accented on the reverse with traces of navy and amber tone around the devices. No marks worthy of note, just a couple light little pings here and there that are commensurate with the grade.
A perennial favorite among collectors due to it's low mintage and status as one of the key dates in the series. With just 100,000 pieces coined it is one of the lowest mintage dates coined from 1878-1921 for the dollar denomination.
PCGS 436, NGC 188. PCGS Price Guide lists the coin for $7,500 for the grade. Recent auction sales have examples selling for $6,000 in June 2023 and $7,500 in May 2023. This coin is likely to sell on the upper end of this price spread. We recommend taking a close look at this great piece and placing a liberal bid. A prize for the astute collector.
