THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS HOARD OF RATTLERS The Spanish Trail half is one of the classic KEY types in the 50 piece set. Only 10,008 were struck, and GEM examples are always in demand from collectors. Satiny smooth surfaces possess a clean, frosty lustrous surface. A light, iridescent sheen can be seen over the pearly white surfaces. The devices are sharply struck with crisp, bold definition. PCGS 1,441, NGC 754. The most recent example sold for $1,440 in February 2023 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,550.
