1760 Hibernia-Voce Populi Halfpenny. W-13960, Breen-233, Nelson-13, Zelinka 14-M. URS-12. P Below Bust. VF-30 (PCGS). There are three different die marriages of this <em>Guide Book </em>type, but Nelson-13 is readily attributable due to repunching on the letter P below the bust. This piece also displays two prominent die breaks (as struck) on the reverse over and behind the seated figure. There are no abrasions of note on either side, the surfaces quite smooth with only minimal roughness in the planchet (as struck) in a few isolated areas. Handsome crimson-copper patina, with fairly good centering and bold definition to most of the major design elements. A few peripheral devices on the reverse are partially off the flan.
