详细说明: This is the SINGLE FINEST example of this scarce antebellum date quarter that is VERY RARE in any grade above MS63. To give an idea of the rarity, Eliasberg's example was a 65 and is the second finest known and Norweb had an AU58. Totally original toned, this GEM is marvelously preserved on both sides. Even with the aid of a strong glass, you will find zero imperfections worthy of mention. The surfaces are wonderfully satiny and have a shimmering texture below a layer of iridescent earthen tones. As you rotate the lustrous surfaces in a light, shades of powder blue, soft olive, and light golden accents mingle with an antique pearly-tan dominant patina. The strike is rather sharp in overall definition and the eye appeal is exceptional. Only 388,000 were struck for circulation, and no quarters were struck at the southern most branch mint again until 1891 at the end of the series. PCGS 1. NGC 0, CAC 1.
