Sharply struck with handsome toning, this wondrous piece yields more than a trace of mint red. Dave, who in the 1960s wrote the British "Trend" section for Coin Worldand who has handled many great British rarities (including the unique 1808 and 1954 pennies) only saw this and one other Mint State 1869 in nearly 60 years of study.
