Both the obverse and reverse display the most subtle dusting of original, clear gold iridescent toning. Even under the most intense scrutiny with a powerful loupe, we cannot locate even the slightest of marks. Offering a bold strike throughout the beautiful design, event the central portions of the design are nicely defined. The eye appeal is exceptional and the quality is very close to that of a full GEM. PCGS 169, NGC 96, CAC 24. In MS64+ the pops are PCGS 8, NGC 3. The most recent MS64+ sold for $10,281 in September 2017 and the current PCGS Price Guide lists a value of $12,000. Keep in mind that the most recent MS65 sold for $24,000 in the 2018 FUN auction, and before that, we sold one in our December 2017 Regency auction for $30,550.
