This is just an AMAZING 1940 dime in every way possible! Tied for the FINEST certified and a truly magnificent coin. Were it not for a hint of pastel iridescent toning, you would think this coin was struck moments ago and carefully taken off the press with cloth gloves. Exceptionally radiant mint bloom captivates the viewer's attention, accenting the bold devices and delicate iridescent hues. Even under the most intense inspection with a strong glass, not a single flaw can be found. It is truly a 20th century numismatic marvel. PCGS 34, NGC 6, CAC 7. There are just three coins graded MS68+ FB and NONE FINER. The last one to sell realized $7,050 in February 2014 five and a half long years ago! The current PCGS value is listed at $7,500.
