- 1773 Virginia Halfpenny. Newman 4-P, W-1475. Rarity-5. No Period After GEORGIVS, 7 Harp Strings. MS-62 BN (PCGS). 111.4 grains. An appealing piece with nicely lustrous surfaces that display an attractive patina of medium brown with light olive accents. Well struck from an interesting late state of the dies showing numerous die chips on the obverse and bold clashmarks on the reverse. Premium quality surfaces and eye appeal at the MS-62 grade level.
