From the Hallett Collection. With just one coin graded higher, this SUPERB coin is really among the FINEST KNOWN. A rich, frosty luster has a brilliant, satiny sheen that brings out the natural pale iridescent hue on both sides. Nicely struck on both sides, the central band is fully split, but perhaps not totally rounded. Nevertheless, the surfaces are essentially perfect and the quality is high end, truly worthy of the CAC bean and lofty grade. PCGS 52, NGC 12, CAC 19. There are only six 67+ FB graded by PCGS and only a single MS68 FB graded finer. Three of these MS67+ FBs have sold in auction, ranging from $3,800 to $4,000, and the current Collector's Universe value is $3,850. The sole MS68 FB sold last in October 2000--there are kids going to college who were not even born yet when it was last sold. Truly worthy of a premium bid from the specialist collector. Cert.
