- THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION SOLE FINEST GRADED! What a spectacular rarity! When you twirl this coin in the light you are struck by the intensity of the luster, but beyond that you are BLOWN AWAY by the beautiful ice blue, violet and fiery peach overtones. The strike is sublime and totally unexpected on this notoriously weak date. All of the design elements are visible with pinpoint precision which probably earned the piece it’s MS66 grade. A few teensy ticks can be seen on the obverse and there is a faint, well concealed scratch near Liberty’s knee (noted for accuracy). WB-1. Large O. 3 repunched south with a small slanted line of the secondary 3 noted above the primary digit. PCGS 0, NGC 1. PCGS Price Guide does not list MS66, but an MS65 is listed for $30,000. Two MS65 PCGS CAC pieces last traded in 2010 and 2015 for over $23,00 and $23,500 respectively. The last appearance for this MS-66 graded piece at auction was October 2014 pedigreed to the Eugene Gardner Collection Part II, where it traded for $15,275. We anticipate feverish bidding for this TOP POP rarity! Someone is going to significantly improve their Registry collection with this Gem! Good Luck! Cert. Number 3319211-011 PCGS # 6244.00
