- Undated (1860) Douglas Portrait / White House. Fuld-510/510A f. Rarity-9. Silver. 22 mm. MS-65 (NGC). This lovely Gem token offers the collector exceptional quality, surfaces and toning for a rarity that is seldom seen at all. Douglas ended up winning the nomination and went head to head against Abraham Lincoln; their famous debates are still talked about today. Rich gunmetal blue and gray toning is seen over lustrous surfaces. Boldly struck on Douglas as well as the President's house, right down to the trees in front, features that are commonly seen poorly defined. The surfaces are virtually perfect, even under magnification. An impressive example of this historic issue, with the portrait of Douglas handsomely executed. Provenance: From the Q.
