A seldom seen date at auction, this near-Gem is rather intriguing, with half of the obverse offering rich, deep toning and the other nearly tone-free. A similar effect is evident upon the reverse, speaking to how this was originally stored. A pleasing underlying luster is also observed. Estimate: $1,250 - $1,750.
