- 1890-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. VAM-4. Top 100 Variety. Tailbar. MS-63 (PCGS). This highly lustrous, satin to softly frosted Carson City dollar has brilliant surfaces and a razor sharp strike. The Tailbar is a particularly dramatic VAM variety, with the key diagnostic a bold die gouge on the reverse from the junction of the eagle's tail and the arrow feathers to the wreath below.
