- 1849 Braided Hair Cent. N-27. Rarity-4. MS-65 BN (PCGS). CAC. Soft underlying luster upholds warm violet and blue iridescence on the chocolate brown surfaces of this satiny Gem large cent. The strike is bold with just a few obverse stars lacking their central radials, with the balance of the design crisp on both sides.
