- SWITZERLAND. Solothurn Shooting Festival Commemorative 5 Franc, 1855. PCGS AU-55 Secure Holder. Bruce-S3; HMZ2-1343a; Richter-1117a. Shooting festival version of the circulation struck 5 Franc and RAREas such. The only difference between the circulation and commemorative strikings being the inclusion of the edge legend "EIDGEN FREISCHIESSEN SOLOTHURN" which indicates it was a shooting festival emission. Mintage of only 3000 pieces and quite elusive in any grade. Especially desirable in the fully original condition seen here.
