Type I Manila overstrike, with serrated boarders and reverse legend; dies prepared by Don Benito de los Reyes. Overstruck on an 1827-PTS JM Bolivia 8 Soles. A RAREhost coin for the overstrike series that seldom appears on the open market. "MANILA" and date fully struck up with dot between, remnants of serration between 10 o'clock and 1 o'clock; Reverse: Crowned arms of Spain partially struck up with "S*D*F" of legend weak at 3 o'clock. Overstrike of typical weak strike leaving much of the under type still visible. Clear host date, assayers letter's, denomination and mintmark. An attractive example displaying lovely light to medium gray tone with much character and a great provenance.
