- 1880 Pattern United States Assay Commission Medal. Copper. 33 mm. By George T. Morgan. JK AC-22b. Rarity-6. AU-53 BN (NGC). Richly original surfaces are toned in blended reddish-copper and autumn with steel-brown in the protected areas around the design elements. A second offering for this intriguing type, an unadopted pattern for the Assay Commission medal of 1880 believed to have been George T.
