- Lot 511 1832 C-3 R2. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. CAC.Choice lustrous light olive and medium brown. The surfaces are covered with satiny mint frost and this piece offers outstanding eye appeal. No spots, stains, or contact marks. The best identifying marks are a tiny spot of lighter tan toning on the lower point of star 7 and a small, faint spot of very slightly darker toning in the field off the chin. MDS with the always present tiny lumps on the reverse caused by rust on the die. This is the plate coin for the variety in the second edition of Roger Cohen's half cent book (see page 90). Our grade is MS63+. A beautiful example and it comes with an excellent provenance. The attribution and Widok Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
