- 1723 Rosa Americana Twopence. Martin 3.5-E.5, W-1338. Rarity-4. AU-58+ (PCGS). 226.6 grains. This lovely example exhibits a blend of original sandy-gold color and medium olive-brown patina. The strike is ideally centered on both sides with virtually compete border denticulation encircling sharply to fully defined features. Satiny in texture and otherwise smooth, accuracy alone compels us to mention trivial pitting that is easily overlooked by the unaided eye.
