- NETHERLANDS. Silver Drowning Rescue Society Medal, 1767/1854. PCGS SPECIMEN-55. Van Loon-399; Dirks-259. Obverse: Woman tending to drowning man and fending off Death, approaching with a scythe; Reverse: Inscribed "J. STUMEIJER / AMSTERLODAMI MDCCCLIV" within wreath. Lustrous and beautifully toned, this medal was awarded to the rescuer of a drowning victim and inscribed with their name.
