- 1844-O Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-5. AU-58 (NGC). A sharply struck and satiny near-Mint half eagle featuring a warm blend of olive and orange-gold patina. This is one of the more plentiful issues from the still early days at the New Orleans Mint, but high grade pieces like this always find many buyers when they are offered.
