A scarce, low mintage three cent nickel, a GEM survivor from just 22,200 struck. Satiny brilliant surfaces gleam with a bold silver-nickel gray color on both sides. Sharply struck and wonderfully preserved, devoid of any serious flaws. We note a tiny fleck on the obverse above the N in UNITED, but it does not detract from the excellent eye appeal. PCGS 25, NGC 8, CAC 2. Just a single CAC-approved example has sold in auction, realizing $2,820 nearly six years ago. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $2,000 and the CAC CPG value is $2,300. Quite scarce finer, this is an ideal example for a GEM set! Cert. Number 40224644 PCGS # 3750
