Attractively toned Gem AU Capped Bust Variety 1 Quarter Only the minutest rub on the high points and the most conservative grading keep this from making the Mint State designation. Wonderful russet-orange-blue toning surrounds the major design elements and gives this coin an incredibly attractive look. Distinctive obverse die break from the Miss Liberty’s curls through the 12th star and to the rim. PCGS 15, NGC 21, CAC 4. This is the sole coin designated 58+ by PCGS. Listed in PCGS price guide at $4,000 for AU55+ and $5,250 for MS60. In the last few years, AU58’s have sold at auction in the $3-4,000 range. In August 2017, an AU58 CAC brought $8,812.50.
