Superb Gem Uncirculated 1854 Gold 25¢ Finest Certified by PCGS. 1854 Octagonal 25¢. BG-105. Liberty Head. Rarity-3. MS-67 PCGS. This deep cameo-like Period I specimen features frosty motifs set against deeply mirrored fields. Bright yellow-gold is the order of the day, though a light source brings out some olive iridescence. Undeniably choice and irrefutably beautiful, this is the sole finest Mint State certification event among the 218 such listings at PCGS. Maker: Frontier, Deviercy & Co., San Francisco, 1853-1864.
