- Scarce and Popular Dahlonega Quarter Eagle Characteristic deep yellow gold with rich orange toning towards the rims. Strike is weak in the centers, as is typical of this Mint, and the relative lack of detail on the eagle’s wings is strike as much as it is wear. The coins circulated heavily and relatively few survive from a mintage of 10,945. PCGS 17, NGC 12, CAC 2. Listed in the PCGS Price Guide at $2,750. We sold the most recent example, an NGC/CAC coin in our September 2018 Premier Session for $2,420. Worthy of strong consideration for any better date gold collection. Cert. Number 36063265 PCGS # 7754
