FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. This essentially GEM quality example of this last Barber half dollar issue was sold in our July 2017 Regency Auction, where it was described as: "Beyond "nice!" A bold frosty luster on both the obverse and reverse which accent the generally smooth, problem free surfaces. We do note some microscopic lines and ticks which are totally acceptable for the assigned grade. Some hints of peripheral toning frame the obverse. The eye appeal is generally quite nice for this the final year of Barber halves." PCGS 110, NGC 86, CAC 17. There are only 3 graded MS64+ at PCGS, and this date is very scarce any finer. This was the only one to ever sell, realizing a very strong $2,350 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. Keep in mind that the last PCGS MS65 CAC sold in November 2017 fro $4,800!
