SHE'S A SHOWOFF! Flashy and lustrous with golden accents on the high points. Bold motifs, especially the eagle on the reverse where the wing feathers and most of the breast feather details are struck to full advantage. A thorough search with strong magnification shows a few light tick marks here and there and rub on the high points of the design elements, which is to be expected for the grade.
PCGS 446, NGC 195. In July of this year a piece sold for $8,400 and another in April 2023 for $7,200. A prized rarity among Morgan Dollar collectors. It is believed that of the original mintage of $100,000 coins, only an estimated 6,000 to 12,000 survive in ALL grades! This example is sure to garner spirited bidding when it crosses the auction block.
