- 1788 New Jersey Copper. Maris 67-v, W-5510. Rarity-1. Head Right. AU-50 Dark, Porous. 143.52 grains. Deep chocolate-brown verging on black. Surfaces microporous and somewhat pitted throughout though the sharpness of the design elements still shines through. Other than the mentioned roughness, no marks of consequence were picked up during the brief stay in circulation experienced by the present New Jersey copper. PCGS# 521. Provenance: Paper envelope with attribution notes included.
