This SUPERB GEM is tied for FINEST graded at PCGS and is from our sale of the Ogden Avenue Ladies, May 2020 lot 89, where it was described as: "This stunningly toned SUPERB GEM 1902 nickel is tied for FINEST graded at PCGS. Vividly toned in shades of powder-blue and light, green-gold are dusted across both sides; the obverse shows a concentric pattern of color, while the reverse is more evenly dusted across the surface. Sharply struck up devices stand out against the glassy reflective fields and the eye appeal is bold." PCGS 29, NGC 1. This coin has an auction record of $7,638 from April 2017, when it was the SOLE PR67+ graded.
